Elbow
Dislocations
Elbow dislocations are second only to shoulders in terms of their frequency. Most don’t need surgical intervention but there a few that do. However, elbows have a tendency to stiffen up rapidly if they are not mobilised straight away. Our expert team of consultants work closely with our specialist rehabilitation team and can help you to maximise the recovery you can make by doing the right things straight away.
Tendon
Overuse injuries of the forearm muscles are extremely common, causing microtears in or around the tendons near the elbow joint. We are able to offer the latest advice regarding the prevention and treatment of epicondylitis.
Bursitis
Repetitive movements or pressure can cause the fluid-filled sack surrounding the elbow joint to become inflamed causing bursitis. Persistent swelling and pain may require specialist intervention such as injections or surgery.
